Mortgage Consensus Index compares recommendations across AI platforms. The exact participating platforms, response availability, and research date can differ by study. Read the article's platform results before comparing its headline result with another study.

A platform name refers to the service represented in the research record. Unless a model version or access mode is explicitly documented, do not infer which underlying model, subscription tier, browsing setting, or session configuration produced an answer.

Why answers can differ

AI systems can rely on different training data, retrieval sources, ranking preferences, and interpretations of a question. The same service can also produce a different response on another occasion. A disagreement can be informative even when there is no single objectively correct ordering.

A source citation attached to an AI answer does not by itself prove the answer is supported. The cited page still needs to be read in context.

Unavailable is not a negative vote

A missing, failed, or unusable response should be distinguished from a response that did not recommend a provider. The article's denominator determines how to interpret coverage. Platform logos or names elsewhere on this site should not be treated as evidence of participation or endorsement.
